The problem is how you parameterize that feedback and the inputs/outputs to the network - and account for needing to retrain it every time the available set of tests/options changes, which is... very often. On paper you could use a big ole LLM like Claude et al. but then those are subject to bullshitting/hallucinations and they're not cheap at all.

Test VMs are stupid cheap, is the thing - much cheaper than nearly anything else

Is it only me who sees the potential of the AI for the task of choosing configurations and tests? A constant Feedback for that neural network can be bug reports (all related information) and the frequency of them.
