A proprietary driver developer, asking for help at the LKML? That's something I don't see very often.

Well, speaking of driver, if they released the source code, the community could make it compatible with anything, including non-Linux-based kernels. :^)

Geeze. No one ships an unmodified kernel. And even if they changed their kernels so they no longer offered a POSIX interface and no longer supported Un*x programs, it would still be a Linux-2.6.x *based* kernel.
