I hope for an anti-censorship tool to increase in usage when censorship reaches the level of blocking major news sites, major opposition politician blogs, Facebook, and Twitter. Instead, Ulrainians and Russians are turning to Signal and Telegram—a chat application and a pubsub application where honest news from Ukrainia can, as of yet, be shared more or less freely.<br> <p> I want to donate to an organization that increases freedom and peace in Europe. The onion router was high on my list of candidate recipients. But if it needs decades to grow into the ubiquitous anti-censorship tool I desire, I’ll fund the Ukrainian military first, and Internet resilience againt censorship maybe later.
