I'll trust cyber security software when the lead developers clearly value the ability of any of their target audience to fork and deploy with the greatest possible ease. As long as the developers champion their own solutions, at the expense of simple forks of their own solutions (read: ego at best, hidden motives at worst), I'll presume it's not the kind of empowering overall solution I'm looking for. I.e. iceweasel... In fact, the lack of viable forks of iceweasel... Turtles, damn turtles all the way down.

I'm delighted to see Linus on the board, and this seems a good step in the board direction towards general privacy interested people, and a good mix of nationalities and gender.

There might be a small lack of people with experience in hiding from oppressive regimes, but this is definitely a step in the right direction for the Tor project.
