I don't know how much of that is a result of Branden's increased maturity under fire, and how much was my own misapprehension of him through the lens of his mailing list postings. Either way, his term ends with Debian in good hands.<br> <p> The last election was one in which every serious candidate was eminently qualified. Debian will do well if it can continue such a tradition, especially if (as Branden seems to suggest) having been a DPL makes one a more effective contributor than being one.
