Especially, there are so many distribution out there and which is the better one?
Why not use WinDOM, a truly plug & play chip that take less than 5 minutes to setup and your old PC can actually run operating system like Window XP, 2000 or .NET server.
I think for school, business or government it is perfect solution to maximize surplus old PC and minimize environmental pollution.
Fri, 03 Jan 2003 19:05:39 +0000 Knoppix/Japanese? https://lwn.net/Articles/16349/ https://lwn.net/Articles/16349/ AnswerGuy It seems that they might be best off simply automating a Knoppix hard disk installation script. There is a Japanese version of Knoppix, so the hard parts have already been done.
8000 yen per system !?!
That seems a bit steep for such a simple operation. Oh well, they have to make their money somehow I suppose.
Fri, 22 Nov 2002 18:42:50 +0000
