That was the sole exception from the original patch (removing a maintainer with a non-RU domain email). Maybe it's related to this from last year, "We don't feel comfortable accepting patches from or relating to hardware produced by your organization." https://lore.kernel.org/all/20230314103316.313e5f61@kerne... If that's in fact the same person with this other email (RU domain) address. Searching for the company name and "sanctions", their contributions may be associated with a company under sanctions, if that's what this is ultimately about.

Bankrupted in 2023. No idea what happened with the remnants. The website is still up.
