Let's stick to facts even if one wants to be rude. Nothing has been "stolen" by anyone because no free and open source license requires anyone to contribute anything back, especially permissive BSD licenses. The strong copyleft licenses can only mandate the changes be made public under the same license.

The whole point of BSD / MIT licenses is, you're saying you're okay with people taking your stuff and giving nothing back. If you don't want that to happen, put it in the license! Which, um, that's what the GPL license *does*.

I simply don't understand people who license their work BSD, and then go "No, we meant for you to act as though it's GPL!"
