Tor Project 2020-2021 annual report
One element of this year's work that inspires me, and shows the power of the Tor community, is the response to the internet censorship in Russia and Ukraine. The entire Tor community immediately jumped into action to keep people online. Seeing this passion in action, while keeping tens of thousands of Russians connected to the open internet, has been inspiring.

I want to donate to an organization that increases freedom and peace in Europe. The onion router was high on my list of candidate recipients. But if it needs decades to grow into the ubiquitous anti-censorship tool I desire, I’ll fund the Ukrainian military first, and Internet resilience againt censorship maybe later. Convince me otherwise!

Perhaps it is not that incredible after all!
Powerful or dedicated governments might not be too impressed: how many Tor nodes operate in $YOUR_FAVOURITE_EVIL_STATE?
