Is the Open Group code worth mention?

I thought I heard they were going to Open Source some code. Is it any better than Dickey's xterm?

That code is open sourced. That's the version that all the vendor xterms
is based off of. It is the version that Dickey based his version off of.
(And I think much of his work was rolled back in.) It doesn't have all the
improvements in Dickey's code but it is largely the same. I don't know of
any advantages to going with the x.org version.
