How big a warchest would we need?

Considering Microsoft has ~50 billion in the bank... how much money would we need so they can't sap it dry?

I agree with the general conclusion: I've been thinking for the last couple years that the bigger a threat FOSS becomes to the established businesses, the hotter the fight will be.

First the ignore you
Then they fight you
Then... you're dead (metaphorically speaking... I hope)

Just as likely as Ghandi's original.
