I recently tried Linux desktop after a long pause and GNOME was as nauseating as when I had abandoned Linux. Then I tried Cinnamon and loved it, everything works and there are no surprises in the name of UI design.

I wish they had a way to donate to their project (or subscribe via Patreon or something similar).

I don't believe Cinnamon itself accepts donations, but Linux Mint does, and they develop Cinnamon. The Mint donation page is at https://linuxmint.com/donors.php .
