It's good to see they're progressing. Unfortunately my laptop requires kernel 5.8 at least. I hope they will catch up. I miss Debian based distro ;-) And yes, I'm "too lazy" to maintain my own kernel. It's a bit more complicated and time consuming than it was a years back.

Have you tried the "Edge" version? It uses 5.11 instead of 5.4. See https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=291 for the 20.2 "Uma" Edge release, and https://linuxmint-user-guide.readthedocs.io/en/latest/edge.html for info on Edge releases in general.

Thanks!! I was unaware of the edge flavor. I usually used standard Mint Cinnamon.
I will give it a fighting chance tomorrow.

Cool! Just make sure to read the warnings on the second page I linked to. TL;DR: the Edge version may be buggier than the normal one.
