There’s one thing that I cannot find an answer for, or the answer is evasive: right now I have a few things with speakers attached that speak AirPlay. Most of my family has at least one Mac, or iPhone, or an iPad, so those just work. My setup works because PulseAudio works with AirPlay too. After many years it’s in the state where it just works without me thinking about it too much. A Linux desktop nirvana.

Does it mean that if I switch to Pipewire now, I’m going to lose this, because Pipewire audio cannot into network?

On that note, can Pipewire and PulseAudio run side by side (using, say, different sockets) with Pulse handling the AirPlay stuff and Pipewire piping audio to it as needed?
