That’s a saying I’ve attached to Finnix for many years. A hammer is a tool, and when it does its job, you may consciously or unconsciously appreciate it for doing its job, but there are very few hammer fan clubs.

Very true I appreciate my hammers, from the small ball pien to the monster fencing maul. I don't praise them but they still do a grand job. Each one is a precision tool because if you are not precise, you can lose body parts.

However, I do recommend each one to others as they were recommended to me. Perhaps not the exact brand but the type of hammer for a job. For example if you were unaware of a fencing maul, you would probably bash away with an ordinary sledgehammer which will probably work but tends to split wooden stakes. The maul is generally even heavier and most importantly, a wider striking face spreads the force more effectively across the top of the stake, helping to avoid splitting. In essence it is the opposite of an axe.

Praise hammers? Probably not but now I'm going to search for and read up on Finnix.

Quite. Finnix looks like something I'd have used dozens of times over the last decade... only I had no idea it existed.
