The 2019 Linux Kernel Maintainers Summit

LWN once again had the privilege of attending the summit. The topics discussed there were:

• Defragmenting the kernel development process: the kernel's development tooling is too fragmented and insufficiently capable. What can be done to bring the various tooling efforts together and create something more effective?
• Dealing with automated bug reports: the onslaught of bugs is unrelenting; how can kernel developers find a way to keep up with (and eventually reduce) them?
• The stable-kernel process: what are the issues with stable kernels, and how can the process be made to work better?
• Linus Torvalds on the kernel development community: Linus's chance to talk about what he's happy about (or not).
• Pull depth, hardware vulnerabilities, and more: a set of short topics to finish out the summit.
