This lincense is simply too scary, too broad and too vague. Any use of this software outside of development now seems dangerous, but I assume this is the intention.

Note the "without limitation" in the clause where it lists affected software. But even the listed things like automation, backup and monitoring are much too broad, as well as of little use to most users. And this must not only be made availaible to users, but to everyone.

As I see it, this, as well as the Redis move, are attemtps at monetization by companies that just used "open source" as a means to get users in the first place. Hardly anyone would have bothered to buy some new, semi-finished proprietary database. Making it "open source" made market entry much easier. Now that they perceive to have gained enough market share - or because investors are increasing pressure - they try to cash in.
