Fedora reawakens the hibernation debate

This would be very valuable for applications, not just for resuming from suspend or hibernate.

X and Wayland still cannot handle dynamic DPI changes in applications. The problem is in the applications: there is no way to tell an application that a window has moved to a screen with higher DPI and that it should adopt the font-size and layout. If an application can save state and be restarted from that state, but with a different DPI, then the application can adapt to a changing DPI.

A use-case is a setup with a 1920x1080 laptop screen and a 4K (3840x2160) desktop screen. On 4K a 24px font is reasonable. But when the screen is unplugged, the font size stays 24px which is far too large for a 1920x1080 screen.
