Cool-retro-term not reviewed? But it is the only proper terminal emulator!
So I tried it again just long enough not to feel sick. It does show all the characters in the magic string. No bidi ordering, though. It seems to have "true color" (true grayscale, that is. Or orange-scale in the profile I was using). I didn't bother checking for for paste protection. It does not seem to have a key combination for paste.
