What about the search feature ? It's one I use daily and I wonder how other terminals handle this.

A more obscure but very useful feature is zmodem up/download (typically using lzrz on the remote machine). It's often more practical tha scp, especially if you're multiple ssh hops away from the remote machine.

As for tiling, Konsole supports a limited version of it (tile layout must be all-vertical or all-horizontal).
