Over 200 sessions. More than 100 exhibitors. Just north of 3,300 attendees
took to the expo floor, speaker sessions, exams, installfest, and workshops
over four days.

That was SCALE 16X.

Now that the SCALE Team has had a chance to decompress from the four-day
event, we would like to take some time to thank those who made it possible.

But first things first: SCALE 17X will be held on March 7-10, 2019, at the
Pasadena Convention Center. We hope to see you all there again next year,
and if you bring a friend or two, we won’t hold it against you.

SCALE would like to thank the keynote speakers for their outstanding talks
during the course of the weekend. Both John Gossman of Microsoft and Zaheda
Bhorat of Amazon certainly earned their SCALE jerseys while offering
insightful talks at the expo.

Clearly, SCALE would not be SCALE without the thousands of attendees who
visit our four-day event. If you attended SCALE 16X, we hope you came away
from the expo with more knowledge, more insight, and even more entertaining
or interesting anecdotes about Linux and Free/Open Source Software. If you
didn't attend, we hope you will consider coming to SCALE 17X next year.

No SCALE event would be complete without the work of the hundreds of SCALE
volunteers that make the show go, from set-up and opening through the
closing and tear-down. A list of the committees can be found here –
http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/16x/contact-us – and if you'd like to
join us, we are always looking for volunteers.

We are currently processing the videos of the talks, and each recorded
session will be available soon on our YouTube channel at

Also, SCALE sponsors allow us the financial backing to make a show like
ours work well. SCALE would like to thank the following:
