Fedora's foundations meet proprietary drivers

If I want proprietary drivers support I can always go to another distribution. I am using Fedora because they are not following this easy way out.

And now I might not get the newest version of some free packages, because it blocks proprietary stuff. I can understand why people are upset.

Indeed, IMHO if the driver is so important, then someone who it's important to, needs to maintain an LTS kernel for Fedora as suggested in another thread. Ideally that someone should be Nvidia since they are the ones blocking nouveau from working correctly.

My first thought was that this kernel should be maintained by the Workstation WG. Given that they're the group making demands, it's only fair that they do the work required.
