Distributing filesystem images and updates with casync

For the "casync mount" usecase, a similar tool is CernVM-FS, http://cernvm.cern.ch/portal/filesystem . Though the use case is maybe slightly different in that cvmfs downloads stuff on demand and has a limited size local disk cache (LRU, I guess), rather than downloading the entire tree in the background like casync mount apparently does.
