Everything will make much more sense once you abandon your completely wrong assertions as to what KDE Plasma actually is.

If you then go one step further to actually read the blog post in question, you'll notice, that KDE Plasma's release intervals have been prolonged which seems to be in accordance to what you'd like to see.

Kügler: Plasma’s road ahead

Okay.

I was under the impression Plasma is a tool, like all the others, that lets me open and organise the programs I actually care about, and then gets out of my face so I can use them. The blog post's talk of LTS, release cycles, proprietary service support, makes it sound like an enterprise distro. But I thought that's what the *other* barrage of flames was all about ("call it KDE SC or we'll laugh at you"). Fine, I admit that I'm wrong there. I know from experience that the KDE side won't back down until I do.
