Plasma battery indicator doesn't show percentage by default and uses very ambigious icons to represent state.

I'm sorry to be "that guy" but, how about a configurable battery widget? I wasted a whole week before giving up.

I brought this into conversation in KDE channels but noone ever responded.

As you bring this up in a lwn comment section I doubt that you reach the right channels. Maybe try bugs.kde.org.

Then why didn't someone reply with "this isn't the right place"?

Yes I know it can be frustrating re-directing newbies, but we were all newbies once :-)
