I head to read the purpose (second paragraph) a few times to understand it.
I suggest you rephrase/restructure it, e.g.
Mission: The Public Patent Foundation protects civil liberties and free markets from wrongly issued patents and unsound patent policy
Strategy: providing persons and businesses (which are otherwise economically, politically, and socially deprived of access to the system governing patents) with representation, advocacy and education.
Seems a worthy cause.
