Unfortunately (or otherwise), Linux has already surpassed Windows to become the world’s most popular OS.

Linux is everywhere but in 99.99% of cases it provides no user interface. Only a minority of users even know that the device is running Linux. Possibly Android might now have beaten Windows as the most common UI.
