Upstream Bugzilla is really a terrible bugtracker. For 4.4 GNOME limited the amount of customizations (we had loads previously). I think compared to the previous version we used, we're not affected anymore by loads of security bugs. But usage wise, I don't see that we're better off. One or two nice things coupled with loads of "wtf". Especially all the new functionality partly overlapping with other functionality.

Bugzilla is used by various free software projects, but it really does a terrible job for software bug management. I expect a tool to make your life easier. It's not convenient to use. It tries to be a generic bug tracker and as a result it is bad at the different use cases it tries to support.
