Help Linus decide what to call the next kernel

Last time this happened I had to work around a (steaming) pile of software that, for reasons I don't care to understand, insisted that Linux kernel versions consisted of two dotted decimal numbers following the string "2.6." and would raise a fatal error if uname() said otherwise.

I can't really say I'm fond of innovations in this particular part of the kernel.
