There's an idea - let's drop the archaic base-10 versioning scheme and use a modern Web 2.0 versioning scheme based around html4 named colours. Backwards compatibility is easy, we can sort them by their HSV numbers. Linux Red, Linux Beige, Linux DarkSalmon...
