QEMU Advent Calendar 2014 unveiled

The QEMU project has launched its own "Advent calendar" site. Starting with December 1, each day another new virtual machine disk image appears and can be downloaded for exploration in QEMU. The December 1 offering was a Slackware image of truly historic proportions.

LOL, that's the best advent calendar idea I have seen in last years!

And, of course, I ported mksh to it ;-)

Was easy. The code was clean, but that old version of GNU bash has a bug in which 「"foo"/bar」 is parsed as 「"foo/bar"」, which breaks if “bar” has a wildcard. Easy to work around, too.

I was pleased to find JOE 0.1.5 (from 1991, no less!) on it. “Some sort of https://www.mirbsd.org/jupp.htm compatible editor” ☺

And I liked the “no systemd” part, of course. ☻
