Yes, I do. And the lifetime rules are pretty much "for as long as the archived data that depends on that uniqueness lasts".

Which is why I consider the use of message-ids as archival ids *with an uniqueness requirement* to be a design error. Never mind the RFCs require message-ids to be unique, this simply does not hold in practice, not even for requirements with a lifetime measured in days (duplicate supression).
