Both sides on the gay marriage argument are wrong.

The sooner people realize this the sooner we can all move on and acknowledge how childish and self destructive the whole situation is.

Huh? Moving on means saying one side (the status quo) is right.

There is no solution being offered by either side that can solve the problem. The best idea I can come up with is ignoring the government licensing scheme for personal relationships entirely and depend on contracts and such things for dealing with legal details as much as possible. The licensing, registration, and tracking personal relationships with the government causes all sorts of terrible things. Even people with legally sanctioned relationships.

'Moving on' means to be tolerant of other people's positions and acknowledge the fact that while you may disagree with somebody over whatever manufactured political issue of the day is you can still have a productive relationship. Self-segregation, character assassination, and the attempted destruction of people's careers is not a good mechanism for progress.
