Debian init system general resolution withdrawn
Debian init system general resolution withdrawn
Matthew Vernon, the author of the most recent general resolution proposal on "freedom of
choice in init systems," has now withdrawn that proposal. "I said
that if I'd not received enough seconds by today that I would withdraw this
GR proposal. Despite one person emailing me off-list to urge me to
continue, I think it's important to do what I said I would do, so I hereby
withdraw this GR proposal.
" The five sponsors needed to bring the
GR to a vote never appeared; it seems that the Debian community has had
enough of this discussion and is ready to move on.
