I tend to agree with the author that exclusively binding the cgroups feature into systemd is more than problematic. I also agree that lumping many (independent) functionalities in a single component is against my understanding of high quality software. I fail to understand how an init process is connected to udev or cgroups. As long as systemd forces me to use the whole package or none, I will certainly choose the latter and stick to working software (like sysvinit) and new approaches (like cgmanager). For now, systemd is an absolute no-go for me.
