Interesting.

Fedora will need to setup something like Cyanogenmod and list the devices that are supported. Otherwise it's always going to be a mystery what device to get that will be reliable and easy to deal with.

They aren't really targeting phones/tablets. But rather boards[1] that can run with upstream unified kernel.

And phone/tablet vendor kernels are pretty far from that. For those there will be some "remixes" (basically whatever anyone in the community comes up with). For example, my fedora on hp touchpad or nexus4 were remixes. Using fedora arm userspace, but custom kernel/bootloader/etc. Those will just exist to the extent that anyone in the community wants to hack something together for their device(s), not really a primary target for fedora project itself.
