Please, is there some pointers to opened bug report for this behavior? Are there some responses from systemd maintainers? I have read so many PR style stuff for systemd but nothing about this behavior. I am trying to analyze what possible systemd hard dependencies in core applications could mean for embedded (sometimes critical systems, medical, automotive, etc) future development. It is critical for our future decisions. We have not dared to use Linux when we made decision 10 years ago. Without RT branch there was no bound for theoretical maximal latencies. We use Linux on development systems and for infrastructure and monitoring from 2.0 kernels. But we consider it for instruments now.
