Almost all Wayland things are documented at https://live.gnome.org/Wayland. For the 60% bit I used https://live.gnome.org/Wayland/Applications 1-2 months ago. The count is "fixed"+"working" vs total (excluding "not checked"+"nothing to do"). This is a while ago. There used a be an issue with "subwindows". I noticed that more things work when you use "CLUTTER_BACKEND=wayland". If I check now, about 65% works, though some have working due to the environment variable and IMO more important that things might have a minor display issue than having the user set some environment variable. About 19% still a crash somewhere (=really bad!).

Suggest reading the wiki, because there are various things that really need to be implemented. Desktop environment is a bit more than just components.
