Xorg-edgers manages to do it for Ubuntu. While Ubuntu-X provides individual packages that can be installed to upgrade a system without breaking anything, Xorg-edgers provide bleeding edge new packages that are meant to be installed as a whole, replacing everything so that nothing breaks (and edgers is sometimes the only way to fix quickly severe bugs in X, such as the disabling intel bug present in Quantal, that caused X to crash when one clicked in a canvas). This of course requires a very well compartimentalised system, but Debian has that already.
