You can also check it manually (take a printout of the certificate in your house and compare it to the certificate you get on the company) and just Do Not Logon on the site if they mismatch.
Most sysadmins I know take the nice CYA stance that "I don't touch HTTPS connections (besides denying them to some blacklist) because both the company and I could be held liable if some wrongful bank transaction is done from our proxy's IP address."
