Switch to systemd. Just like, for example, they switched to pulseaudio.

Because, unlike code from certain other people who implemented stuff "their way" (I'm thinking about djb), Lennart's way works. It solves real problems, without stepping on too many other people's feet.

He's matured a lot since the pulseaudio flame wars.

And, hey, OF COURSE it's a powerful ego trip to see your work being used and enhanced and whatnot by so many people. But that's not necessarily bad!

For most people it's a powerful motivator to create even more good stuff.

So what's your problem?
