A preview of Inkscape 0.49

Good news! I've been using Inkscape for several years in a very specific manner -- translating webcomics -- which involves quickly drawing oddly-shaped closed curves for balloon translations, cutting weird shapes to hide out-of-balloon texts, laying out and cutting translated texts in interesting ways, and Inkscape just makes this easier with each release.
