A pretty thorough explanation about how it isn't some sort of organisation-endorsed project is included in the announcement. If you deliberately choose to ignore it, there's nothing productive left to be discussed.

p.s.: otoh if you're only referring to it being called "Gentoo eudev", the author of the annoucement has duly noted this.

It also happened to be announced by a gentoo.org person on a gentoo.org list in addition to the name being prefixed with Gentoo. Quite a lot of gentoo in there to aid us all into believing there's something about gentoo in this project...
