In fact, OMAP4 has a built-in face detection module, not face
recognition, which should be implemented on software generally
speaking, and face detection is a very key step for face
recognition.

Indeed, I should have written "detection," that was a bit sloppy. I've fixed it up, sorry for any confusion.

To add to the confusion: TI does have SoCs with hardware face recognition available.
