3.0.0 has now been pushed out as the openSUSE Kernel:stable & the Tumbleweed kernel.

That's meant updates to things like laptop-modetools for version numbers code tested explicitly for 2.4 & 2.6, but since rc4 or 5 was around most of the trouble's been with kernel rc6 crash on boot (didn't happen with vanilla) and Nouveau being bust.

Early adopters have generally been very happy with it. The trouble is they tend to run all the same stuff, guess application bugs won't stop booting and package updates though.
