That would be impressive. A package manager capable of managing things like those distros yet synced. Creating the package manager is one thing, maintaining it... well.. who knows.

World domination will be several steps closer.

PackageKit already acts as a meta-package-manager on top of deb/apt, rpm/yum etc. And with distros now working on a user-friendly "app store" interface, the difference in naming convention between distros wouldn't matter too much in the future.
