I just bootet up the GNOME Live CD and I'm pretty happy with what I got to see. I tried it on an HP 625 laptop, and even the Boradcom Wifi worked out of the box (with the free brcm80211 driver - which used to freeze the machine if loaded on 2.6.38-rcN vanilla upon loading the adapter's firmware). If they can get this openSUSE rolling release sub-project going, which is a brainchild of gregkh (amongst others) if I am not mistaken, I could imagine switching over from what I currently use.

Nice work for sure, kudos and praise to the openSUSE-developers! :)
