Parent article: An Early Look at GNOME 3.0 (Linux.com)

I took a look at some of the bugs for fallback mode and gnome shell and really looks like the Gnome shell guys got their training on how to interact with the community/users from Ulrich Drepper.

Answers like "Nonsense" or "That is totally broken, man" are giving me any confidence that Gnome3 will be a step forward.

Do you have any links to these statements?

That is mostly developers discussing between each other and disagreeing on some things. They're being direct, but don't think this is any good example of how gnome-shell developers behave towards community/users. Suggest reading the gnome-shell-list archives for interaction between users and developers. Friendly attitude from everyone.
