Wow, I did not see such an enjoyable flamefest on lwn for quite a while!
The comments from mr. Analayst are, in my lowly opinion, not devoid of interest and truth, and in fact funny enough to justify their reading.
On the other hand, the cooperative approach taken by the oss pack in their rebuttals, leading to the construction of an unsurmountable criticism, is a clear example that, in a free market, cooperation beats proprietary hand down :-)
