But you are not morally superior to the rest of us. You embraced open source to pursue your own self-interest, monetary or otherwise.
Ah-hah, and here's where that libertarian-ness comes out! Our esteemed analyst subscribes to that world-view where the market is the only way of understanding human affairs, and if some people seem to do things for reasons other than money then well obviously those reasons must be just another kind of money! Because money and self-interest is all there is, QED.
Not that I'm claiming moral superiority exactly, but yeesh. This syllogism: People do X; X is in their self-interest (we can tell because they do it!); therefore X has no moral value. It pisses me off. It is, if you will, morally bankrupt.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some fluorescent ballasts to change...
